We understand that computers, laptops, mobile devices, hard drives, memory cards, USB drives, cloud storage accounts, and other digital devices often contain sensitive personal, business, financial, and confidential information. We treat all customer information with the utmost care, professionalism, and discretion.
Confidential Handling of Customer Data
All devices and data entrusted to ProTech Computer Services are handled strictly for the purpose of diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, maintaining, recovering, or supporting customer equipment and systems.
We will not intentionally access, view, copy, disclose, distribute, or use customer files, documents, emails, photographs, business records, or other personal information except where reasonably necessary to perform the requested service.
Data Retention and Deletion
Upon completion of services, ProTech Computer Services will take reasonable steps to remove any customer data that may have been temporarily stored on our systems during the repair, migration, backup, or recovery process.
We do not intentionally retain duplicate copies of customer data beyond the period reasonably required to complete the requested service.
Disclosure of Information
ProTech Computer Services does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose customer information to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
Customer information will only be disclosed:
With the customer's express consent;
Where required by law;
In response to a valid court order;
Where required by a lawful request from law enforcement agencies;
To protect the rights, property, or safety of ProTech Computer Services, its customers, or others.
Customer Records
Customer contact details, service records, quotations, invoices, and correspondence may be retained for business administration, taxation, warranty, and record-keeping purposes.
These records are stored securely and are accessible only to authorised personnel.
Security Measures
ProTech Computer Services implements reasonable technical and administrative safeguards designed to protect customer information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
While reasonable security measures are maintained, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
